When I was a fat kid growing up I wanted to learn how to ride a skateboard. I would gingerly test my friends boards outside
when we were playing, and soon realized that I would have to learn on my own, away from people, mostly cause I was a top heavy
buttery ball and a big pussy.
I did eventually get my own skateboard, a plastic job from the seventies (Makaha USA for you aficionados), the light wooden
boards tended to bow a bit underneath me, and I did bust my ass over and over again (alone) in my backyard, but I kept my
pride, and one day I didn’t know how to skate, and amazingly enough a few weeks later I was sharp.
You know the cliché, fat people love to make you laugh, we should all be comedians. Well we don’t really like to accidentally
make asses of ourselves and be laughed at. No, it seems to be exponentially more horrible when you’re fat and get laughed at,
and it was not your intention to strike humor in people.
